WEYMOUTH assistant-manager Alan Lewer is not bothered that tomorrow's opponents are his former club, all he is interested in is securing the three points.

The Terras will take on second-placed Cambridge United at the Wessex Stadium looking to bounce back from Monday's disappointing 4-1 defeat at Forest Green Rovers.

And although Lewer has the utmost respect for the U's, he is only concentrating on making sure his men are in the best possible condition come kick-off.

He said: "It makes no difference to me that it is Cambridge. It is just another game and three points are all we can win.

"It will be nice to see some of the players and people I used to work with but we have set ourselves a target of two points per game and a home win tomorrow would put us in front of that, and that is all we are concentrating on."

Like the Terras, Cambridge also suffered their first defeat of the season on Monday in the form of a 2-0 home reverse against Kettering. Prior to that they won their opening four games, beating Northwich Victoria, Kidder-minster Harriers, Barrow and East-bourne Borough.

Lewer added: "They have brought in Phil Bolland, Jon Challinor, Felino Jardim and a couple of others but apart from that it is very much the same squad that was there when I left last season and I have a lot of respect for those players for what they achieved.

"They deserved to get to Wembley in the play-off final and on the balance of the season they probably deserved to get promoted.

"They are certainly capable of coming here and putting on a performance and there is no doubt we will have to be at our best to get something from the game.

"We did not do ourselves any justice at Forest Green on Monday but that is out of the way now and all we are focusing on is making amends and getting back on course."

Pierre Joseph-Dubois, Santos Gaia and Michael Malcolm have been recovering from knocks over the past few days and it is hoped they will all be available for selection.

Terras' boss John Hollins said: "We are carrying a few slight injuries and I am not confident that everyone we will make it but we shall see how training goes and then take it from there.

"I was not here when we played them at home last season but we took a point off them up there and I am very much looking forward to it.

"It is a great chance to bounce back after a disappointing result on Monday and with a good crowd behind us I am sure we can do that."

On-field captain Anton Robinson won a call up to the England C team earlier this week to face Bosnia & Herzegovina in Sarajevo on September 16.

Hollins added: "Anton has been very dependable and strong, and the great thing is he is only going to get stronger.

"With a closer look at what other players we have here, who knows, he may also be joined in the squad by a couple more in the future.

"He is a very dedicated player and the call up is very well deserved. It is great for him and it is also fantastic for Weymouth Football Club."
