THE world-famous Red Arrows are scheduled to make an unprecedented three appearances during the festival.

The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Display Team draws crowds of hundreds of thousands of people wherever it goes so its displays centred over Bournemouth pier are certain to please the crowds.

The team of nine thrilled crowds on Friday, and are planning to return on Saturday (noon - 1pm) and Sunday (3pm-4pm).

The three displays are the latest in a series of visits to Bournemouth over the years.

Bournemouth's own Red Arrows Association has ensured the team have visited the town at least once a year recently and enthusiasts are thrilled they have made such a commitment to the town this year.

The Red Arrows are scheduled to perform 75 shows around the world this year and have given displays in an impressive 53 countries since their formation in 1965.

Look forward to the traffic jams folks. Best advice to the locals is stay in your gardens and watch cos the council are only interested in tourists.Load of old rubbish if you ask me.

Oh Poolemaninscotland - get over it! Hundreds of thousands of people being attracted to the town boosting the economy and helping change its reputation as a sleepy town for old people and all you can do is moan! Furthermore it's FREE! Get yourself down to the cliff top and have a look. Fantastic display yesterday and it will only be better today, Saturday and Sunday with the Red Arrows. Worried about traffic? Take the train and walk from the station or grab a bus. It's really not that complicated.

Fans of the Air Festival, and of the Daily Echo columns. Do not let PoolemaninScotland get to you. Not worth it.

I'm so glad the Arrows are performing three times cause I could only see bits of their performance today from my window at work. I have always tried to see them when they visit and I still love it after all these years! The larger planes they've brought in are making the windows rattle!

Can't wait to see it all tomorrow. We saw the red arrows fly over Winton during our shopping trip. It was great!

Hundreds and thousands of people attracted to the town with miles and miles of traffic jams to pi.. of the locals. why do you think this is great local folk. You wont benefit from the money coming into the town but your council tax is paying for this. I just dont understand this one bit.?????????

I think the Red Arrows are fantastic. Stood on the roof at work when they went over this afternoon and one flew directly over the top of the building on its side!!

I'm 23 now and I still get very excited by them!

Will be going down tomorrow to see the show from noon and can't wait! Hope everyone else enjoys it as much as I have been!

What a fantastic Air Show, I'm sure it will only improve year on year. I was in a boat offshore and thought that, this is the only place in the world you can watch an airshow from the beach or from the sea, how fantastic is that. PS I was in Inverness a few weeks go, very nice if you like heather and gorse but thats about all they have there, I'm sure a few more scots will move to the South for their entertainment
