Arson attack on car

AN ARSON attack on a parked car took place in a residential area of Bridport, police said.
At 12.15am this morning, a black Nissan Micra car in Court Close in the Bradpole area of the town was set alight and severely damaged.
PC Stuart White said: "I understand a figure was seen running away from the car shortly after the fire was started.
"We're investigating this as a deliberate arson attack on the car.
"It's not yet clear what was used to start the fire and I have no further information on the figure running away.
"I'm keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or from anyone else who has any other information about this crime, the reason for it or the identity of those responsible."
