Models sought for beach shoot

A LEADING photographic company is coming to Weymouth to hold auditions for a beach photo shoot.

Getty Images is casting to find local people who can portray a family day at the beach, with Asian and British families, older couples and children all in hot demand.

The company provides stock images for national and international news stories, brochures and advertising.

All those selected for the final Weymouth photo shoot in September will be paid between £100 and £250 for their modelling.

Producer of Getty Images Sally Charles said: "We are looking for an English family and an Asian family, including older couples aged in their 50s to 70s to be "grandparents", mums and dads aged in their mid-20s to mid-40s and kids from five to 16 years old.

"We plan to do the photo shoot at Weymouth Beach in late September on a date to be confirmed.

Hours "The photo shoot is for Getty Images Creative Library where the images will be sold for brochures, advertising and so on.

"We will be paying people to participate in our shoot depending on how many hours we need them for, but the rates are from £100 for up to four hours and up to £250 for an eight-hour day."

Getty Images has been in contact with Weymouth and Portland Borough Council and is in the process of obtaining permission to use the beach and park areas for their shoot.

A team from the market-leading stock photography company will be coming down a day ahead of the casting to check out possible locations for the photo shoot.

The open casting is taking place at the Crown Hotel ballroom this Thursday from 10am until 2pm.
