A PERSON has been seriously injured in a car crash in Bournemouth.
Emergency services were called to reports of a two-car crash in Castle Lane West at around 11.50pm last night.
Police, fire and ambulance services attended, and the road was closed to allow the incident to be dealt with.
Firefighters helped to extract one person who was trapped in a car.
The casualty was then handed over to the ambulance service and taken to hospital for treatment to a serious injury.
The two vehicles were recovered, and the road was reopened at around 5.30am this morning.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 11.52pm we received a call to a road traffic collision in Castle Lane West, Bournemouth.
“Crews from Redhill and Springbourne attended and found a road traffic collision involving two cars, with one person trapped, who they then extricated and handed over to the ambulance service.”
