Floral displays light up spring show

GARDENERS in Beaminster got to show off their early blooms when the town's horticultural society staged its annual spring show.
The number of exhibitors was well up to scratch and there was a good turnout of green-fingered visitors to the show in the Public Hall.
Overall points winner in the floral classes was local grower Ken Hunt while the prize for the best single exhibit in the show was awarded to Maurice Jeffrey for his orchid.
