A MOBILE holiday home in Weymouth has been bought by a charity for sufferers of a rare skin condition.
The home will be used by people suffering from epidermolysis bullosa, a condition which causes blistering and fragile skin.
A £40,000 donation from construction company Redrow was used by the charity Dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa Research Association (DebRA) to buy a second, mobile holiday home in the town.
DebRA director John Dart said: "DebRA is very grateful to The Redrow Foundation for their generous donation which will enable EB families and individuals to enjoy a holiday in a beautiful setting."
The home was specially modified to include ramps and a special food preparation area.
Epidermolysis bullosa first came to mass public attention in Channel 4 documentary The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off, which charted the life and death of sufferer Jonny Kennedy.
