"WHAT make is your dressing gown?" was one of the questions asked of domestic goddess Nigella Lawson while she was signing books in Bournemouth.
Hundreds of fans queued outside Waterstones in Castlepoint on November 1 for the opportunity to meet the television cook.
First in the queue was human resources manager Jo Shenton, 38, from Bournemouth.
She said: "One of these books is for my mum's birthday and the other is a Christmas present. It will be interesting to see what Nigella is like in real life."
Eight-month-old baby Nigella Mai Curwain from Poole arrived with her mum, 28-year-old Jennifer, and had a cuddle with her namesake.
Mrs Curwain said: "My husband is called Nigel so my baby is named after him just like Nigella Lawson is named after her father."
The bookshop had ordered in an extra 500 copies of Nigella Express for the event.
Nigella describes the recipes as "dangerously delicious" and the books were selling like hot cakes.
For the record her dressing gown is from La Perla and she bought it in Selfridges.
