THERE'S NO DIRT TO DISH

A young woman has hit out angrily at a tabloid story yesterday linking her to Prince William as "a total misrepresentation."

And 19-year-old Lisa Agar of Ringwood said the heir to the throne was "a perfect gentlemen" when they met in a Bournemouth nightclub last week.

She told the Daily Echo: "We had a couple of dances and he was great fun, but he was perfectly well behaved, absolutely impeccable.

"Anyone who says any different is not telling the truth."

Lisa, who is studying to be a sound engineer, also dismissed claims made in the Sunday Mirror that the Prince had asked her to go back to his barracks at Bovington after the night out in Elements.

"That's a total fabrication," she said. "They have made it out to be something totally different to what it was. They seem to be trying to dish the dirt when there is no dirt to dish."

"He never asked me anything of the sort. I did go back with one of his Army pals called Rufus for a couple of drinks and then I went home, but that had nothing to do with William.

"I even travelled back to Bovington in a different car," she said.

"William was being friendly but didn't go near any girls. The closest I got to him was when he posed for the photograph. I just wanted to tell people what a genuinely nice guy he is."

As reported in the Daily Echo on Saturday, the Prince, 24, spent a night out last Thursday in Bournemouth with pals.

Currently the Prince is based at the Bovington Army Camp. He and his buddies arrived at the nightspot just after midnight and spent time dancing on the podium and drinking Stella Artois, declining the use of the club's VIP suite.

He left when the club closed just after 3am on Friday morning.

Lisa said she did talk to a Sunday Mirror reporter but insisted yesterday's front page story bore no resemblance to her interview.

"I think I have been stitched right up and so has Prince William.

"The Prince was just having fun on a night out with his pals and there's no law against that."

Lisa's friend Alison Hatcher, 18, a Brockenhurst College student, was also at the Elements on Thursday.

"He was a lovely guy," she said. "He was relaxed and friendly and we chatted about music and things like that.

He was happy to talk to everyone, really down to earth.

"The story in the Sunday paper has given a totally misleading impression. It's really unfair on William and on Lisa.

"Things like this will probably make him think twice before going out on the town again and that's a real shame for him. If I were him, I'd be really annoyed about all this."

Perhaps little girls shouldnt be so keen to sell there story to newspapers in the first place!

Are we all supposed to now believe her? This girl is incredibly naive to think she can sell her story one day and then the next cry foul because she's been painted for the idiot she is.

Well I would be inclined to believe her version of events, after all The Mirror is no stranger to telling blatant lies to its readers. In 2004 Piers Morgan was sacked after the paper published faked photos of British soldiers supposedly abusing an Iraqi prisoner. It has also recently lied about TB rates in this country. The former editor Piers Morgan was investigated by the Stock Exchange after it emerged he bought shares in Viglen Technology the day before they were tipped by his paper. It has also lied about asbestos claims and the HSE.

The Daily Mirror are not renowned for their professionalism or their integrity; indulging in over-hyped intrusions into the lives of celebrities and sports stars, writing blatant lies about political opponents and sensationalist scare mongering on every subject imaginable.

Typical gutter press unfortunatley

The Mirror is always out to stir things up. Maybe she should not of been so quick to run and tell everyone about meeting the Prince. You live and learn and she will learn that 5 minutes fame is not worth the hassle that goes with it.

what a sad story this is. This is exactly why people of such high profile like the prince (the future king - you dont get much higher than that) cant enjoy a normal night. Whilst a normal night is pretty hard to acheive when its someone like him, its a shame he cant go to a club and have a drink and a dance without some girl selling her story to newspapers to make a few quid. He's probably not phased by this as it probably happens all the time but its a shame all the same. Probably not her first time at Bovington camp either...Also can i just ask how BNP can keep getting items posted on these pages. This is a free for all service but its not for messges on behalf of political parties. If its wasnt a statement on behalf of a party then why state it.

There is nothing to suggest the girl sold her story. You do not have to sell a story to get on the front pages of our tabloids. Nor should anyone believe a single word they print.
Furthermore, there is not enough information in this story to draw any conclusions about her motives and behaviour. She is probably a very nice young lady and is unfortunately having a reality check about how the media distort information.

Are you the boyfriend then because I was there and her behaviour verged on being a stalker! And she did sell her story, and has been bragging about it ever since! She is nothing but a cheap money maker. Notice I am not selling my story!

She knew what she was letting herself in for when she sold her story. the lad cant even go out for the night without some moneygrabber trying to grab 5 minutes of fame. Notice none of the other people there that night have stooped so low - but what do you expect from someone who sold themselves for £600

This girl clearly has no morals whatsoever, everyone knows that tabloids twist stories, regardless of whether she is telling the truth or not. She clearly hasn't taken into consideration the feelings of Prince Williams girlfriend or family, or even William himself. She states that nothing happened between them so what was the point of selling a story when there was no story to tell other than to make quick money or to get her 15 mins of fame? Since she is only 19 I sincelery hope that this is forgotten about quickly for her sake as nothing good ever comes out of doing a "kiss and tell" as this considerably hinders your credibility with future serious employers. Maybe we'll see her on next years celebrity big brother or Love Island??

and if anyone was contacted by a tabloid I bet most would say something about any incedent. but the truth is Prince William was out and having fun with the people he works with... and in the process met other people who had a giggle with him. The papers are only after one thing SELLING PAPERS! and more oftern than not dont care about the damage it can and does do to people.

Fun night blown out of all propotion!

What a silly little girl. As if the future king of england would want to know her for goodness sake. this is real life lovey, not a Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale. As if!

I'm inclined to beleive Mr turner, BNP he may be, I wouldn't put it past the Mirror to subtly alter facts, since she does say it was that rufus guy who asked her back to the barracks. Anything to have a dig at the royals i suppose.

I find it most unsettling that if this story is true, an unknown car can follow the heir to the thrown and take strangers into his living quarters. Is there no security there?

Which member of the gutter press reported this non-news item in the first place? Oh yes, The Daily Echo!

This is a total 'non-news' item. I would like to ask who syndicated this story in the first place. Was it the Echo or this girl?

The poor guy should be able to have a night out without silly stories like this being reported.

tefl, no I'm not the boyfriend, LOL. But over the last couple of decades I have had inside knowledge of about a dozen various news-worthy stories. These involved a range of stories including employers, friends and in one case distant family members. Some reported locally, two nationally and two on local TV news. None was reported well. All missed key pieces of info and did not convey the intents and motives of those concerned with any accuracy at all.
Maybe my experience is not representative. But they have left me with a fairly below average regard for the media in general.

I think the obvious overlooked thing here is, if he was planning on some dirty action, I'm pretty sure he would have more sense than getting pictures taken with the girl.

All the signs point to typical young adult night on the town with the lads.

Not Council estate lads on the pull night out.

I dont see why there is all this fuss for typical behaviour, I'm glad the younger generation of the royal family is in touch with the same things I like to enjoy.
