HOLLYWOOD superstar Johnny Depp is thought to be hunting for a house in the New Forest.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star is reported to have been seen in pubs and restaurants around Lymington, and sources at a nearby school says he has approached them about enrolling his children.
Although the star's agent has denied the rumours, it is understood that his children Lily-Rose, seven, and John, four, could be due to start at an exclusive £15,000-a-year private school on the outskirts of the New Forest.
Sources at the school say talks between it and Mr Depp have taken place in the last six months. An insider said: "There has definitely been contact made by Mr Depp.
"Maybe he's thinking of sending his children to the school for the start of the academic year in September?"
Rumours that the star could be relocating to the Lymington area have been circulating for months. Several areas of the town have already been earmarked as potential Hollywood haunts. Properties near the town centre, Woodside and Sowley have all been mentioned.
So far, Depp's agents have denied that he is to move to Hampshire.
The official line from Johnny's publicist in California, Robin Baum, was that he was in the country filming.
When asked about the rumours, she replied: "There is absolutely no truth to these rumours.
"Johnny is in England working on a film."
