Pensioner cut from crash wreckage

FIREFIGHTERS used hydraulic cutting gear to release a pensioner trapped in the wreckage of a car following a crash near Bere Regis this afternoon (Sun).

A Dorset Fire and Rescue spokewoman said two crews from Blandford had freed the casualty in 15 minutes after being called to Almer near the World's End public house at around 1.50 pm.

The pensioner was treated by paramedics.

A pensioner! Does this make the story any more interesting? I hope the casualty makes a speedy recovery.

Judging by the way some pensioners drive around here it does not surprise me one bit.
