Max’s school of rock dream

| LET'S ROCK: Max Brimble, whose band Punch Hunk will headline a rock concert at Westfield Technology College |
WESTFIELD Technology College will become a school of rock as a dream comes true for one pupil.
The children's charity Dreams Come True is helping Max Brimble, 12, fulfil his dream of being a rock star by hosting a concert at his school.
Max, who suffered a life threatening injury seven years ago when he was kicked in the head by a horse, is very excited about the event.
He said: "I've always dreamed of being a rock star for a day and can't wait to arrive in a limousine.
"It's going to be great to see everyone wearing T-shirts with my band on. I'll be just like Jack Black."
The schoolboy received the injury as he was walking in a field near his home in Batcombe, near Dorchester.
He fractured his skull, suffered two heart attacks and was kept in hospital for nine months.
His family was told to prepare for the worst.
Max's mother Carole Potter says he constantly improves physically although he is always going to have memory problems.
He recently swam 20 lengths with a friend to raise more than £400 for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, who came to his rescue.
She said: "He is a very happy and lively boy and
he is hoping to crowd surf at the end of the concert but we'll have to see about that.
"He's also hoping his new rock star status will get him the chicks."
Max's band Punch Hunk will headline the concert after sets from local band Heroes and Heartbreakers and other musically talented pupils from the school.
Dreams Come True's fundraising manager Philip Pride said: "Max really deserves this and we're delighted to be making him so happy as I'm sure he'll have a fantastic time."
The concert will take place at the college on Thursday, April 10, from 6pm.
