Personal Overview - He has travelled extensively with the Army where he served in Northern Ireland, Cyprus, Kuwait, Germany, Gibraltar and Bosnia. Politically he has been active running a number of local campaigns including traffic management, regeneration issues for Boscombe, crime, and securing Shelley Manor as a community facility. Became an opposition Whip shortly after entering parliament, before advancing to become an Opposition Spokesman in 2007, however he could not translate this into a Ministerial post following the 2010 election. In October 2006 he suggested that the Opium Trade in Afghanistan be licensed in order to undermine the Taliban and well as combating the shortage of morphine and codeine. Returned as a PPS in October 2011 to David Lidington shortly after losing his job following the resignation of Liam Fox.

Previous Occupation - Former Company Secretary and Head of Business Development for an information services company based in London (DeHavilland Global Knowledge Distribution plc 1998). Ran a direct sales force in the southern region of England for a large insurance company. Employed by a private company based on the south coast. Has also been an Associate Director of PLMR Limited (Political Lobbying and Media Relations) (2009-10).
Personal Overview - Achieved election to this fairly safe Conservative seat at his third attempt to enter parliament in 2010. He had become politically active at an early age, even chairing his university's Conservative Association. Locally, he has campaigned in both Eastleigh and Bournemouth against house building on flood plain land. He has also shown some interest in limited reform of the electoral system, although has not gone as far suggesting moving to a proportional system. Prior to entering parliament he had a varied business career working in the finance and latterly the communications sectors. He has also been active supporting charities, having been on the management team (Voluntary Independent Member) of Eastleigh Home Start scheme to support families.

Personal Overview - Former Conservative Peer who defected to the UK Independence party successfully gained election to the European Parliament at the 2009 elections. From a background in accountancy, he has worked in several countries, including the United Arab Emirates and US. A former Hereditary Peer, he lost his seat in the House of Lords in November 1999 in the Lords reforms of that year. Having reinvented himself as a UK Independence member he has the opportunity to use his accountancy skills to highlight any financial issues within the EU.
