PRINCE Harry drank vodka and danced the night away at Bournemouth bar Toko as he took a break from army training on Thursday.

The party prince, currently based at Bovington, dropped in at the St Peter's Road venue twice and stayed for more than three hours in total.

His group of around 15 were given the VIP area of the bar and ordered vodka and Red Bull as they danced at the student Retox' night.

Jim Beedham, operations manager for Future 3000, owners of Toko, said: "It's fantastic that Harry is coming into Bournemouth and using the venue.

"I think he had a good night and said he would be back in a couple of weeks. We'll be happy to get repeat custom from a Royal!"

Onlookers said the third-in-line to the throne was casually dressed in jeans, t-shirt and baseball cap and appeared to be having a good time but didn't seem drunk.

The group first arrived at Toko at 11 o'clock and stayed for 15 minutes before heading elsewhere. They then returned at midnight and partied on until 3am.

Although the group was comprised mostly of men, they did attract the inevitable female attention but Harry was said to have been mainly interested in dancing.

On arriving at the bar, the VIP area was cordoned off for the prince, who was reported to be a little embarrassed by the situation.

But he displayed all his charm at the end of the night by thanking the Toko staff and shaking their hands, even offering kisses to the female employees.

Harry, who graduated from Sandhurst military academy in April, is currently undergoing special training to become a troop commander at the Armour Centre in Bovington.

He arrived in Dorset last month and will spend five months learning to lead armoured vehicles into battle.

When he completes the course he will rejoin his regiment, the Blues and Royals, where he will command a troop of 11 men.
