A MAN was found dead in a flat in Bournemouth last night.
Detectives are investigating the death of the 48-year-old and are treating the incident as suspicious.
The police were alerted by an ambulance crew just after 8pm last night and were called to a ground floor flat in Westby Road, Boscombe where the man's body was discovered.
A police spokesman said officers sealed off the flat and teams of specialist scene of crime officers carried out a forensic examination of the premises. Other officers conducted house to house enquiries in the area of Westby Road.
The dead man is believed to be from Bournemouth.
Police arrested a 43-year-old Bournemouth woman at 8.30pm yesterday on suspicion of murder and she is helping them with their enquiries.
A forensic post mortem examination will take place at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester this afternoon.
Police are not issuing an appeal for witnesses or information at this time.
