Mum with sick child among the victims of estate vandals

THE mother of a seriously ill boy was among three residents subjected to a spate of vandalism on a Poole estate.
Asher Nardone, who lives in Grange Gardens, Rossmore, and whose 10-year-old son Calum has severe cerebral palsy, had her car sprayed with paint as she watched TV at around 11pm on Saturday.
Two other residents had their cars sprayed, while another had a brick thrown through her window.
Police are appealing for witnesses who can identify the culprits, who were caught on a CCTV camera mounted on Miss Nardone's home.
Asher, who has now had her car vandalised 12 times since last September, said: "My neighbour rang me and asked me if I was okay because she had heard smashing glass. I told her I would go and check the CCTV and when I rewound it I saw a teenager coming up my drive with what looked like a knife and stabbing two of my tyres. He didn't even hesitate about coming up my drive despite the camera.
"My neighbour said I'm going out to check my car' and found that hers had been vandalised too. She was on the phone in tears. I called another neighbour who said They have done my car too.'
"They wrote grass' on a sign outside her house. The whole thing must have taken about six minutes. It makes me worry because what happens if someone had gone out to confront the youth who had a skewer or knife in his hand?"
She added: "Calum has to have an important operation in 10 days and I could do without this now. I have had people saying why don't you move? But I can not move in to temporary accommodation now without the ramps and special light switch that this place has.
"It is fight or flee for me."
Inspector Rob Snow of Poole police said: "There has been a multi-agency approach to this incident, which has included ourselves, the Poole Housing Partnership and Poole Council. From this we have a number of actions which will include enhanced patrols and support and we appeal for anyone with information to contact us."

This is a disgraceful state of affairs when this lady and her son can't feel safe in their own surroundings. I hope these apologies for human beings are soon caught.

I have been on the wrong end of behaviour like this and had to leave my home in the end with my family. Why should the victim always be the one who suffers the most. Something has to be done and soon to stop this sort of behaviour. Most annoying is that a lot of the people who are doing it are children who live in Council propertys. Why do the council have tenancy agreements which say that you must behaviour in a certain way. Then when someone breaks it do nothing about it. If these childrens parents live in a council house and are not stopping there children from behaving like this they should be given a warning letting them know that if it does not stop they will lose there home.

Please note that nothing will be done until someone dies or is seriously assaulted by these illiterate amoebas. Unless of course someone stands up for their rights/property and then there will be four police cars there within minutes to protect 'the lovable rogues' that their mothers love so dearly. When are we going to stop listening to the 'We can't do anything, they are just kids' and remind the powers that be that criminal responsibility comes at nine in this country and we as victims have a right to feel safe in our homes.

Living in this road has been an absolute nightmare and we hoped that the situation would improve when a family were evicted but this appears to not be the case. Nothing is going to improve until the police take action, instead of simply giving us another crime number to add to the collection and file it all away again. Several neighbours stood up to this family by giving evidence in court and they have not been offered proper protection or support. The main part of the problem however is that there are around 30 other families in the street who keep turning a blind eye. Come on fellow residents, we know that you are grateful that this family have gone, isn't it about time you started to support fellow human beings?
